KRISTIN S. JONSSON, ESQ.
Ms. Jonsson was born in Iceland and spent the second half of her childhood in Brewster, New York. She obtained her B.A. from Binghamton University and attended law school at American University, Washington College of Law. After law school, Ms. Jonsson began her career in the Trusts and Estates Group of Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP focusing on Medicaid and Long Term Care planning. In January 2011, she joined the Law Office of Timothy Pellittiere, PLLC to create Pellittiere & Jonsson, PLLC to continue to assist families and elders with their estate, Medicaid and long term care planning needs.
Ms. Jonsson is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) as well as the New York State and Monroe County Bar Associations. She served as the chair the Elder Law Section of the Monroe County Bar Association in 2013 and 2014.
Ms. Jonsson currently serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the National Parkinson's Foundation of Greater Rochester. She also sits on the Board of Directors for 13Thirty and has served as a mentor through Lawyers for Learning, and an adjunct professor for Bryant & Stratton College.
Ms. Jonsson is a frequent speaker at education seminars including those sponsored by the New York State Bar Association, the Monroe County Bar Association, The National Business Institute, the National Parkinson’s Foundation of Greater Rochester, the Alzheimer’s Association, among others. Ms. Jonsson’s articles on new Medicaid planning techniques have also been published in the New York State Bar Association Elder Law Journal.
